Stylage® XXL, introduced to Canada in approximately 2016, is a groundbreaking hyaluronic acid dermal filler manufactured by Vivacy Laboratories in France. It stands out as the first of its kind, combining hyaluronic acid with local anesthetic lidocaine and an antioxidant called mannitol. This unique formulation offers multiple benefits within a single product.
Mannitol, known as a “free radical scavenger,” acts as an antioxidant, mitigating the harmful effects of free radicals on the dermis and the injected product. By doing so, it reduces the risk of post-injection inflammation and maintains the integrity of the gel’s structure.
Vivacy’s patented IPN-like Technology has revolutionized the effectiveness of Stylage®. It consists of two independent structures: The monophasic A and B structure and the IPN-like structure. This innovative design allows for easy injection, while the increased density of cross-linking nodes ensures long-lasting results. Moreover, this method requires less BDDE, a common compound used in cross-linking hyaluronic acids, making Stylage® XXL a safer and more durable option, according to the manufacturer’s claims.
How It Works?
Stylage® XXL Bi-Soft filler effectively addresses superficial wrinkles around the eyes and lips, thin lips, contour definition, facial volume loss restoration, cheekbone augmentation, and improves skin elasticity. It is biocompatible, biodegradable, and safe for individuals with allergies. It degrades slower than other fillers, providing longer-lasting results and cost-effectiveness.
Its subcutaneous injection of hyaluronic acid (HA) plumps the skin instantly, smoothing the complexion and replenishing lost volume. Additionally, the HA encourages the formation of collagen, which can restore the skin’s structure and flexibility. Additionally, antioxidant mannitol slows down the rapid breakdown of the HA particles and aids in defence against free radicals.
