About Juvéderm® Volux™ with Lidocaine
Juvéderm® Volux™ is made up of a smooth, transparent, and colourless hyaluronic acid (HA) gel with a trace amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Human skin contains HA, which is essentially a sugar that occurs naturally. It helps the skin stay hydrated. To crosslink the HA in the injectable gel, a tiny quantity of the chemical BDDE is introduced during the manufacturing process, which uses Vycross™ technology. This creates a smooth injectable gel that defines the jawline.
How It Works?
Juvéderm® Volux™ is specifically designed for augmentation and volume. It is injected with a cannula or a fine needle into the jaw to shape the face’s lower structure, giving a more defined and rugged look. The HA helps reduce sagging skin and the appearance of jowls. As for the addition of lidocaine, it reduces sensitivity so that the patient doesn’t feel pain.
