Built around Kaolin at 60,000 ppm and Apricot Seed Oil, the Clarifying Mask targets the factors that make pores look larger over time: oil buildup, surface congestion, and rough texture. The fact that it dries slowly is intentional. It gives the skin-nourishing ingredients time to absorb before you wash it off, which is what separates it from the average clay mask you’d find on a drugstore shelf.
Who This Is For
This mask was designed for specific skin concerns, not general use. It works best for:
- Skin that produces a lot of oil and has trouble controlling sebum throughout the day
- Skin prone to blackheads and whiteheads, particularly around the nose and T-zone area
- Rough or uneven skin texture that feels bumpy to the touch
- Dull skin tone that needs consistent clarifying to look more even
- Skin that accumulates impurities quickly and needs deeper cleansing than a regular face wash can provide
- Skin where foundation or makeup doesn’t adhere well or fades faster than it should
Main Ingredients
Centella Asiatica Extract
Centella has a long track record in skin care, and for good reason. It helps calm irritation and supports the skin’s barrier, which matters when you’re using a purifying mask that draws out impurities. It keeps the process from feeling aggressive on more reactive skin types.
Allantoin
This ingredient does two things well: it softens the skin’s outer layer and promotes cell turnover. After the mask draws out congestion, allantoin helps the skin feel smooth rather than rough and flaky. It’s particularly useful for skin that tends to feel raw or tight after clay-based treatments.
Ceramide NP
Ceramides are part of what holds your skin barrier together. Including Ceramide NP in a mud mask is a deliberate counterbalance to the purifying action of the Kaolin. It helps maintain moisture retention so the skin doesn’t dry out during or after use.
Hydrolyzed Collagen
Hydrolyzed collagen works at the surface level, helping the skin feel firmer and more supple after cleansing. It supports the skin’s overall moisture content and texture, which tends to improve with consistent use.
Hydrogenated Lecithin
Lecithin is a natural emollient that helps other ingredients absorb more effectively. It supports the skin’s lipid barrier and contributes to that soft, smooth feeling after the mask is rinsed off.
How to Use
Step 1 — Prep Your Skin
After cleansing, apply a toner to prep the skin. For better results, steam your face for about 30 seconds before applying, either in the shower or with a warm towel. Open pores absorb the mask more effectively.
Step 2 — Apply the Mask
Avoid the eye and lip areas. Spread the mask evenly across the rest of the face, making sure there are no uncovered patches. The drying time will vary depending on how much you apply and your skin condition, so adjust the duration accordingly.
Step 3 — Rinse Off
Using lukewarm water, gently roll the mask off and rinse it off until the skin is completely clean.
Plus Tip
Mix the Clarifying Mask with the OxygenCeuticals Toning Gel in a 1:1 ratio and apply according to your skin’s texture for a boosted treatment. If using a modelling mask pack, apply the Clarifying Mask first, leave it on, then apply the modelling mask over the top. Remove after 10 minutes.
